Shipra Sachdeva

Shipra Sachdeva has been working as a PhD research fellow at the Department of Teacher Education, NTNU since January, 2016. She completed her Master of Science degree in Mathematics with a specialization in Statistics from NTNU in June, 2015. Currently, she is researching the interaction between student’s own culture and Mathematics and Science Education techniques and methodology in multicultural Norwegian schools. Her PhD work is connected to the research project LOCUMS (Local Culture for Understanding Mathematics and Science), in which focus is directed towards using student’s own cultural identity and practical activities as a starting point to plan teaching-learning in Mathematics and Science subjects at lower secondary school level.
