Vasiliki Spiliotopoulou-Papantoniou

Vasiliki Spiliotopoulou-Papantoniou is a physicist, has obtained an MSc in Physics Education from the University of Liverpool and a PhD in Science Education from the University of Patras. She is Professor at the Department of Education of the School of Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPETE) in the field of Research Methods in Science, Mathematics & Technology Education. She has long experience as a teacher educator with secondary teachers in ASPETE and primary student-teachers in the University of Patras. Her research interests involve the integration of science, mathematics and technology in teaching, the use of nature and history of science (NOS) in teaching, the development of authentic science learning situations and teaching materials, and the exploration of students’ conceptual thinking and textbooks’ arguments and images.
